After attending the Travel Technology Europe Show at Earls Court recently and listening to the feedback of the visitors, the general consensus was that many travel technology providers are failing to recognise a need for reservation management, and CRM systems for the smaller tour operator.
Many of the smaller operators felt that the back office systems on offer were cost prohibitive and were simply not an option. However, in recent times this is something that Open Destinations have addressed, with the introduction of their new product; Travel Builder.
Travel Builder was taken to the Travel Technology Europe Show this year, and received encouraging feedback, as the smaller tour operators were impressed by the functionality available at such an affordable price.
An element of the service that many tour operators found particularly impressive was the ease of getting a booking engine online for a price of only £300, subject to monthly hosting fees, and the cost of the Travel Builder Back office system of course.
