10/27/2008 12:00:00 PM by ODL

Open Destinations have launched a new cruise module within their reservation system Travel Studio, to provide ‘one-stop’ bookings that will save time and cost for cruise lines, small ship cruise companies, specialist cruise agents and more general travel suppliers.

Cruises can be packaged or booked as cruise-only, adding in normal scheduled, charter, net fare and low cost flights utilising any available net fares and allocations held in Travel Studio. Further items such as pre or post cruise tours, shore excursions and ship credits can be added within the booking. There is the ability to book shared cabins and wait-list passengers

In addition vessel, deck and even individual cabin information can be stored. Using graphical displays of deck plans, individual cabin allocations can be controlled and sub-allocated.

The cruise module is integrated within Open Destinations existing and robust Travel Studio technology, meaning customers receive many other benefits such as a membership database facility, task manager and accounting interfaces.
Comments Steve Lowe, Sales and Marketing Director for Open Destinations “ Understandably our cruise capability is already attracting a lot of interest. The ability to simplify the cruise reservations process is long overdue, and the easy access to information and ‘one stop’ booking will undoubtedly improve customer service and sales conversions whilst increasing productivity for cruise suppliers.
