Background
Women’s Own Adventure (WOA) is an Australia-based tour operator specialising in small group travel for women. WOA’s Director and Founder Marika Martinez started the company from an idea that great travel experiences should be shared with like minded people. Having had two uninspiring personal experiences with small group travel she realised that 50% of what made a great tour was actually the people you travelled with, the other 50% was the destination and overall tour. Marika also realised there was an increasing number of single women aged in their 50s and 60s who did not have anyone to travel with, but were seeking an adventure travel experience. Many of these women had raised and cared for families over the past 20 or more years and were now ready to satisfy their own travel desires.

Marika recognised the wide-ranging use of mobile devices amongst travellers and wanted to find a solution that would add value to WOA’s customers whilst they were on tour. After finding Tineri and deciding it ticked all her boxes, she chose to work with Open Destinations.
Solution
After personal on boarding training from our mobile team WOA were uploading tours and itinerary information with ease. The app provides group members with access to full accommodation and itinerary details at all times. The app has also replaced printed notes which WOA had used previously.
