Leading travel technology provider Open Destinations has released a new report, titled ‘Tour Operator Technology: 5 Quick Wins for 2017.’ The report has been derived from recent technology projects over the course of 2016 with Open Destinations’ worldwide customer base.
‘Many of our customers have now adopted this quick win approach in their technology projects,’ says Open Destinations CEO Kevin O’Sullivan. ‘These short-term, tactical plans have very controlled costs and everyone in the business can see tangible results from IT. O’Sullivan says that the biggest growth area for quick wins continues to be third party integrations with channel managers and wholesalers, with customers outsourcing their less profitable products to reduce administrative costs. The report also covers other areas of the business such as cloud hosting and creating a supplier extranet to manage all supplier communications.
