Open Destinations has appointed David Scott as their new Chief Commercial Officer. Scott was previously CCO of Thomas Cook where he oversaw the company’s expanding commercial function as it looked to re-establish the brand in both the UK and more recently the Netherlands.
Open Destinations Chief Executive Kevin O’Sullivan comments, “Recruiting David into this new role is a key part of our plan to ensure that we move forward commercialising our cutting-edge portfolio of solutions for the Tour, Rail and Business Support Services industries. It’s an exciting time in travel as we rebuild the industry with technology that will power the necessary digital transformation. David brings vast B2C experience to Open Destinations and will help us communicate even better how technology can help our customers serve their customers better through digitisation.
Scott comments, “I’m delighted to be joining Open Destinations at a pivotal time for travel businesses across the globe. Technology and digital transformation are key to an industry looking to rebound from the pandemic and I’m excited to be working with new and existing customers to understand how we can help them make the most of growth opportunities.
Open Destinations not only has market leading technology and an incredibly strong Business Solutions Services division, but they also have a history of helping businesses simplify their models allowing them to focus on what really matters – looking after their customers.”
That is more relevant than ever in today’s market as travel companies try to do more with less and scale their business to meet increasing demand. This is exactly what Open Destinations delivers so successfully with our great teams of travel and tech professionals.”
